But thanks to the formidable and sooooooo intelligent electoral system used in UK, voting for them and comiting suicide would have the same effect politically.

Hey, I don't like it much either. If it were up to me, we'd have STV.

Still better indeed.

BTW, guess which system Sarko wants to use for election of the newly-created "territorial councilors ? FPTP !
How democratic ! How fair ! How intelligent and elaborated ! See how this guy cares about the fact the people's opinion is represented ! But probably he doesn't even know who Condorcet, Hare or Sainte-Lagüe are.

La Sinistra arcobaleno doesn't exist anymore. It has split up again between a new Communist alliance with the PRC and the PdCI and a new left-type alliance with the uber-hippy Greenies and some socialists.

LOL That corroborates the "suicide" option.

Updated version (not many changes, but still) :

USA : Democratic (Green if the Dem candidate is a Blue Dog, if Dems are too disappointng and/or if the election isn't close)
UK : Labour (LibDem prior to the infamous coalition)
France : PS (could vote green or MoDem occasionally)
Germany : Die Linke as a protest vote (SPD normally)
Italy : IdV, Radicals or some radical left stuff
Spain : PSOE
Israel : Meretz (Labour until recently)
Grece : PASOK
Sweden : Social Democrats
Poland : Democratic Left Alliance
Japan : DPJ
Canada : NDP (would be my pick overall, but if I'm in a constituency where the NDP cand has no chance to win I'd vote Liberal without hesitation)
Australia : Labour (maybe greens as 1st pref some times)
Brazil : Workers' Party
