We're still waiting on turnout statistics for this cycle, but you know what's more true than either "The #WWC are raving racist lunatics who will come down out of the hills to install a fascist every time" or "The #WWC are just waiting for a progressive savior to come streaming into left politics"?

The working class (across any racial boundaries you try to impose on it) doesn't vote. Like here, let's take a look at VA in 2013.

Where do you see the worst turnout numbers? Working class and poor places, irrespective of their racial demographics.


I can bring up any number of examples about this.

Do I think that hard left economics + populist mien will probably make progress toward activating working class folks? Yes. In that way I agree with angry socdem. But making generalizations about the working class EITHER way based on voting preference is absolutely ridiculous, given that their foremost expressed preference appears to be "f[inks] it".
