Let me know...

Gran Torino

Clint Eastwood movie. Cute.

The Social Network

Zuckerberg seems smarter in the movie than in real life, also the movie doesn't show the 'monster' everyone said it showed, merely a rather cynical person.

Hackers

lol, 90s, cute. Angelina Jolie is more jolie with long hair than extra short ones.

Shutter Island

DiCaprio likes complex stories. Disappointing end. Also amusing attempt from Scorcese to ridicule conspiracy theories with this movie, not a very balanced one though, it totally discredits the possibility of bad hidden things.

Letters from Iwo Jima

Clint Eastwood movie. Cute too then. I found those Japanese quite Americanized. The exercise to have an 'anti-US' empathy isn't too badly done though, it could have been deeper maybe.

Very weird movie.

Wow, didn't know about this one. Grin

Wow, me neither. And it did Cannes.

How come I forgot one in the last row that I posted here:

Dikkenek !

Crazy Belgian movie about random normal people engaged in odd situations that are as normal as crazy. It's not easy to well describe. Very Belgian. Belgians are quite good at those stuffs.

(when a French says 'Belgian/Belgium', he indeed means 'Wallon/Wallonia', Flanders/Flemish are not part of our universe, or only for the people living close to the border who needs to buy cigarettes.)

Done! (well, unless you wanted him to compete in the actual best actor Oscar category)

The point with this movie isn't which prize did it get, but, which prize didn't it get.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

It was okay. I actually liked the movie, but the 3D did nothing for the movie.

I liked Antoine de Caunes' (master of ceremony of Césars, French equivalent of Oscars, taking place tonight) comment about that, introducing something about 3D:

You know that there is an 18th release of Star Wars, the 3D version. The effects are fascinating, you can see the hand of Lucas coming out of the screen and going directly in your pocket.
