Dallas-Fort Worth is being hit by multiple tornados

I just wanted to wish our greater Dallas Area posters luck.  Just back away from this screen and get to shelter.

Damage seems horrific from early pictures.

So far the SPC has filed no records of injuries/deaths reported, which is due largely to the great job of NWS forecasters issuing Tornado Emergencies for the cell that skirted the city of Dallas.

I hate to make stuff like this political, but damnit people, days like today are the reason we can't cut funding to the National Weather Service.  These people save lives every day, and when you start cutting funding, it WILL end in more people dying.  The Weather Service needs more money, not less.

Unlike the GOP plans to dismantle Medicare. That totally won't end in more people dying....

Inks and I are not exactly the type of Republicans who are anxious to "dismantle" Medicare.  That being said, I don't see how means testing could possibly be considered a bad idea.  We can't afford to continue to pay for health care for the wealthy.

Medicare is already being means tested, tho probably not as much as some people would like.  Depending on one's income level the premium for Medicare Part B can vary from the $99.90/month about 95% of seniors will pay this year to a high of $319.70.  (Part D for high income individuals can be subject to monthly surcharge of as much as $66.40.)
