She hates politics.

She hardly agreed to Barack running for the Senate, WH, and even re-election.

There's not a chance. She's no Hillary.

I could see Michelle possibly becoming Secretary of Health and Human Services in a future Democratic administration, but not her running for President.

No. Please, no. For her reputation, for Obama's reputation, for the Democratic Party, just no.

I don't think so. The main reason why spouses don't run is because we Americans are not accustomed to something like a Ancient Chinese-style of a family dynasty running the country.

Hillary Clinton ran for and won a Senate seat Michelle Obama would need to do that to have a real chance.

I think she'd do brilliant work as a Senator (people have asked her before about 2020 or 2016 or whenever there's an Illinois seat up) but I wouldn't be surprised if she never ran because of how much she hates politics.

She will not be a nominee for President in 2016.

She could be a potential nominee for Senate in that cycle, against a Republican incumbent who barely won in 2010.

I wonder if either of the first daughters will become involved in politics in the coming decades?

She'll want a (relatively more) normal life for her and her children after Obama's presidency. You can tell in the interviews she gives. The kids will still be in high school afterwards.

lol @ Homer Simpson.  If Michelle wants to run for office and get some experience, IL-2 would be a good start for her.  She would be a way better Congressperson than anyone who could potentially run for that seat.
But as others have said I doubt she is interested.

If every president after Obama served for only 1-term; the earliest scenario for this would be 2076, where Sasha would be the 60th president, sworn in at the age of 75.
