Ninth Post a Picture of Yourself thread (aka creepfest '09)

Well about 4 months, 200 miles, 2000 reps, and a 1000 contortion acts later that my trainers enjoy watching me do while I sweat like an out of shape old sow in heat, I moved from right to left sans about 45 pounds. I figure that with another six months, 400 miles, 5000 reps and 2000 contortion acts, I will be able to take my shirt off just like the man from Saginaw does.

Whoa, Torie hangs out with Daniel Radcliffe? That's awesome.

This might help. I have a tenant who is the director of the Renberg Theatre, and we have become very good friends, and hang together from time to time. I get the best seats in the house.   Clinton by the way, was an awesome performer, with a professional singing voice to boot. A standing O was given unanimously for "her"  after the curtain went down - and well deserved indeed.

I have a very eclectic group of friends - I always have - and it's grand. It enriches my life.

Come to think of it, it matters to me more - far more - than the money - my friends, those I care about, are what life is about, for me.

He is the lone issue produced  out of the collective of myself and my two brothers, Opebo, and lone carrier of the family surname. But well, that does not mean he gets the gold - not at all.  It is just wrong to get where one wants to go without struggle and sweat and toil, at least in my universe. I have seen up close and personal the toxic effects of just waiting around for final exits. That will not happen!

How on earth did three brothers produce a son?  That is against God's will, and you'll burn in Hell for all eternity for that sinful act of heresy.

I have never been happier. Life is grand. The risks I took in the last nine months have "paid" "returns" beyond my imagination. And you, Joe? How goes it in your life?

Well, you still have a full head of hair GM, so that puts you "ahead" of me.

I read somewhere that on average the Dutch are the tallest folks on the planet. Take that for what it is worth.

The worst part it is, there are times when you have something really important to say, and it's just so frustrating when people can't understand you, and say "what' over and over again.

Yeah, that sucks.

My friend told me that he got onto a bus here in Ottawa (OCTranspo) and asked the driver "Do you go to Blair?", but he blocked and couldn't get it out (he did in the end); and  the asshole driver told him to get off the bus and drove away.

I don't say this often, but I hope that piece of sh**t dies in his stupid bus.

The guy should carry a pen and paper around is my suggestion.  When you have a disability, you need to plan ahead.

Which reminds me of an anecdote. When I was young, I had a lisp with my s sound. In junior high, I was put in a speech therapy class with two retarded guys, which was an interesting and valuable experience for me actually in and of itself. I learned for the first time, that it is not appropriate to compete in a relentless manner with everyone one met, among other things, and it was actually more pleasurable sometimes to just help other folks out as best one could.

Anyway, I was fortunate, very fortunate, in that after about 3 sessions, the speech therapist suggested I make the s sound with my tongue at the bottom of my mouth, rather than the top, and the lisp went away instantly, and that was my last "class."  I have formed the s sound with my tongue on the bottom of my mouth ever since. If only everyone's disabilities good go away so easily!

Here is the old at a Buddhist monastery on a mountain top in Hong Kong.  They built this huge 100 foot high statue of Buddha about 10 years ago to attract more tourists. You take this aerial tram over a couple of mountains to get there.

Here is a little skin action for you. I hope it does not cause you to upchuck your breakfast. It is with a chap from Capetown, with whom I really hit if off.  He and his charming wife are eager to show me a good time in Capetown. Opebo undersells Thailand really if anything. The place is well, magical almost.  I am having the time of my life.
