No hindsight means you can't take into account anything that came out about the candidates afterwards or anything the candidates did afterwards.

I voted Edwards as he had the best message and vision.  If it weren't for Iraq pushing the party towards someone with military experience, I think Edwards would have gotten the nomination, which in hindsight wouldn't have been good because of his personal life.
In retrospect, Kerry>>>every other candidate. I like Dean, but I think he's better in a role other than president.
With hindsight, is it likely that any of the candidates could have defeated Bush?
