Again, can we just make a Kamala derangement megathread? This feels like spam at this point.

Notice when its Bernie on say immigration or gun reform, he "evolved his stance". When it's a progressive woman she's a corporate shrill who can't be trusted.

Harris came out against the BDS ban bill, but hardcore puritans will never acknowledge anyone who threatens Bernie. Same sh**t with Beto from a month ago.

The best you can ask out of any of the candidates is that they dont support anti-BDS laws and Israeli settlements in the West Bank

I do have to admit, creating a thread for every single criticism is pretty excessive. But I also have to say that some of the posters who care constantly complaining about how people are going against their candidate of choice and blaming conspiracies by a group are being ridiculous at this point.

The whole point of a primary is that these kind of attacks happen. Unless its unneeded spam or false, such as Kamala sleeping with a politician or Bernie going to the USSR drunk, then it should be attacked for what it is. Otherwise, its pretty fair game in a primary.

It would probably be better if a criticism thread was made for all the major candidates instead of the constant spamming of news articles and tweets.

When Bernie Sanders inevitably flails out of the primary process, please seek solace in the fact that you make amazing money working at your call center in New Delhi.

History - including recent history - has done a marvelous job of showing us that hawkish =/= right wing, and dovish =/= left wing.

Exactly. Foreign policy operates on a political plane almost completely divorced from domestic politics - you have people of all political stripes being nationalists/internationalists or isolationists/interventionists.

'Actual' progressives also aren't crazy doves. Isolationist 'progressivism in one country' is just another face of nationalism and makes one little morally better than the far right - just drawing the line of who gets to count as a person slightly differently.

Not being a crazy hawk doesn't imply that one is an isolationist. Tulsi Gabbard and Bernie Sanders aren't some pacifist isolationists. They just don't support our foreign policy that has created ISIS.

Indeed - so you could say there's a spectrum which is divorced from their domestic policy...

Foreign policy will be one of the least important parts of the 2020 election. And Harris being pro-Israel is expected, it's still mainstream in the Democratic Party as a whole.

Given we're seeing the spam of single-issue threads like this I honestly wish at this point we could get a separate board for individual candidate-specific megathreads. The 2020 board would be a lot cleaner.
