It's kind of funny that Trump is likely hiding his taxes because he's poorer than people think and Sanders is likely hiding his because he's richer than people think.

I'm sorry, I "agree" with Bernie Sanders on almost everything, but I cannot stand him. The problem is that his supporters are absolutely hideous. At this point I'll even take Joe Biden over him.

I have to admit his die hard suppoters are some of the ugliest people I've ever come across, and I am torn between him and Biden, but his recent comments have me leaning toward Bernie.

If Bernie is the only way we can get a Democrat who is not slobbering over social justice in the White House, then he has my vote.

So you are looking to support a Democrat who will jettison the concerns of some of the party's most important members of their coalition? I really don't get how social justice became such a dirty word. Oh wait, I do. The right wing setting the narrative, as usual.

Just because Bernie is not actively catering to the social justice left (in fact, he's striking me as wanting to run a more pragmatic campaign this time) doesn't mean he won't look to solve their concerns in office. Like last time, there's not a dichotomy here: he can tackle both economic and social inequality with his vision for the country.

Bernie is catering to the social justice left though. He talks constantly about Black people, the civil rights movement, how there's so many women of color working for his campaign, how there's an illegal immigrant working for his campaign. He talks about social justice all the time but but he shouldn't, he gets no credit.

He thinks talking like this is going to help him with Black people. It won't. This type of rhetoric doesn't actually appeal to Black people. It appeals to middle class white women but that demographic actively hates him and is not going to change. Black people don't hate him and their support could change, they just largely don't know who he is. Right now, most Black people support Biden, who is one the least Social Justice-y candidates but he has high name recognition.
He talks about black people?! The horror!!

He sounds like the dad from Get Out.

By the way, I would have voted for Obama for a third term if I could.

I know this doesn’t really matter but it’s the dumbest ing metaphor I’ve ever seen. Xavier and Magneto are both way more complicated than that. Magneto isn’t even a villain and he’s a holocaust survivor, maybe comparing him to Trump is messed up. Also Xavier isn’t exactly a Saint either.

Wow a man who didn’t have a job until he was 40 really has the audacity to imply Liz Warren who’s probably the smartest, most accomplished person in all of government right now is rising because she’s a lady. Real woke. Warren’s probably done more in a week than he’s done in his entire life.

Quote
That is not true. The centrist think tanks know Bernie is the only candidate who can get a Medicare for all or some sort of that legislation passed & are worried about it.

Lmao.

The "centrists" (whatever the hell that means these days) don't want Sanders because they think he would blow the election. His campaign is being run by morons and that what spooks them.

They aren't scared of Bernie getting MFA passed. They know that is DOA given how the Senate is made up.

"Oh it's too hard, we give up" is an approach Democrats took for 8 years under Obama. Every time he gave Republicans a little bit of ground, they lurched rightward. I mean, isn't Obamacare a right-wing policy originally developed as the counter to universal healthcare in the 1990s?

Meeting Republicans halfway will not change a damn thing. If there's one thing Democrats should've learnt from Republicans by now, it's that if you start out from a more extreme negotiating position, you're more likely to get more of what you want in the final bill.

I have no idea what your post has to do with anything I said.

Bernie stans need to realize that the issue moderates/establishment people have with them isn't do to policy. The issue is that they are incompetent and the campaign is amateurish. Like yesterday, Bernie is at Clyburn's Fish Fry and does a speech on the third way think tank. How many voters do you think knows and actually cares about some DC centrist think tank? Warren is no moderate herself and you see some Democratic hacks warming up to her and it is in part because she doesn't do stupid stuff like this.

Warren is nothing if not a team player. She's also got a great team. Sanders has hired a bunch of rose twitter hacks to run his campaign and it shows. Only rose twitter people care about what Third Way has to say.

Bernie batting out for working class rapists! Good job pandering to female voters.

Stop. I don't like him and even I know damn well he didn't mean it like that. Attack him on the issues. Stop making stuff up and intentionally misconstruing words.

Bernie should be able to articulate his message better by not making it seem apologetic to sex offenders. When he tweets like this and his infamous Trump voters are not racists election tweet he loses ground with the people he needs to compete in the primary.

Why? I don't see any problem with this.

Every politician has "anti-endorsements".

Somehow it all comes back to the dirty Russians. Hope the other candidates go toe to toe with Bernie on his long support of their regime. Bernie squashes whenever a political expert ask him about the Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Sanders to you:

Could you imagine what would happen if that evil witch Hillary’s spokesperson used a work account to air grievances (about weather delays and flying standby) about having to wear espadrilles to a fancy wedding in Bahrain? Great work, comrade.

For people railing against the 1% this is such an upper echelon "can i speak to your manager, please?" thing to say...

She was flying standby and got kicked off for a paying customer too. She probably got whoever gave her the pass in trouble bc every major airline has the same rule: you’re responsible for the behavior of people to whom you give a pass.

Why did Bernie Sanders go on that doofus Joe Rogan podcast? The man has promoted pseudo-science and has given credentials to alt-right figures that have polluted the political discourse. What made him attracted to do an interview with a man that makes jokes about porn and weed instead of going to a more reputable podcast that has a mature audience who understands the hot topics are not all black and white, capitalism and socialism. You wouldn't see Warren or Harris going on the show, why does a politician with high name recognition and obvious platform doing this for exposure? Leave that guest spot to Tulsi Gabbard and other losers who have nothing to gain by appearing on Rogan's podcast.

Why are you the way that you are

Why go on a toxic podcast that has given a platform for outspoken white supremacists? Why not spend more investment on a podcast that caters to those that will vote in the primary?

I mean he's not wrong, he just didn't word it right. We need to get the growth rate down in non-developed countries, for the sake of planet and for the sake of women's rights. If women have fewer kids, they're more likely to be able to work and make informed decisions about their own lives. It would also allow them and their daughters to get more education because the girls won't have to watch their siblings.   In this day in age, there's no reason to have a birthrate on average of 7 kids anywhere.  Just like in developed countries, birth control and sex education should be at the top our priorities but legal abortion should be there in case you need/want it bc having seven plus kids just wrecks your body. Getting the birth rate down would also stop a lot of unrest in these places.
