When your party controls every branch of the federal government, and has been running this once great country into the ground, you have to base your campaign on going after some dude with a website.

It's extremely pathetic. Only the most hardcore political activists and voters have any idea what "Daily Kos" is.

The National Republican party has nothing to campaign on and this pretty much proves it.

The GOP is grasping for the grassroots.  It's a war they're losing.  Them attacking sites like DailyKos was the inevitable result of this campaign, really.

But, yeah, they need to fire whomever does their current writing in favour of someone who doesn't freebase portmanteaus.

As a Connecticut Voter, I'd like to speak on behalf of most of my peers:

95% OF LAMONT VOTERS NEVER WENT TO DAILY KOS

I worked at the polls on August 8. We had Republicans trying to vote, really old people saying things like "We have to do something about this Iraq mess" (exact quote) and almost no one under 30 came in.

This was regular people, fed up with the war. They are not extreme liberals. Most of them probably have never heard of Daily Kos. I'm liberal and I've been on that site maybe 4 or 5 times in my life. It was a very minor part of the election.
