Insightful, given that Merriam-Webster could have told you that "bemused" and "confused" mean the same thing.

"Is this real life?" (Oh and the answer is no, this is not real life, it's a game, which makes me wonder why personal vendettas are so common. So it goes.)

It's annoying to have to explain jokes to people, but I'll err on the side of letting you figure it out for yourself.
