why have there been so few polls recently?  were they just waiting for the conventions to fully end to sample people?

So Biden maintains a substantial lead in both states and voters there by a wide margin want the winner of the next election to pick the SCOTUS nominee.  Seems like nothing is moving the numbers and a lot of people are already voting in Wisconsin.  Barring some epic change in the dynamics of the race it seems like Trump is going to lose both states.

Quinnipiac has generally had better numbers for Biden in the South than most other pollsters, so I'll say Trump +4, Harrison +1

^ this looks right

Apparently tomorrow there will be CBS/YouGov polls of PA and OH.

PA: Biden +5
OH: Trump +2

Are those actual numbers from something or a prediction?

Trump's numbers are tanking at the worst possible time.  Early voting is really picking up to like 1 million+ votes a day.

TRUMP 2024.

It’s going to happen one way or another.

Can he run from prison?  I don't doubt he'd win a Republican primary from prison.

Just a useful reminder for all the people out there.

Current 538 averages:

Trump approval: 42.8-53.5 (-10.7)
Trump vs  Biden: 41.9-52.2 (-10.3)

Pretty close to each other.

Why is there a big divergence with the RCP averages though?

I sometimes wonder if these wild swings in places like Iowa and Ohio are because the voters there really want to remain a battleground state to maintain national importance.
