He could say that Biden is mentally unfit for office.

They're going to go all in on the Hunter Biden Ukraine thing, as well as the "Joe Biden has dimentia" line of attack. The latter is risky because it's sure to fail if Biden shows up at the debates and is semi-competent (not a given admittedly), and the first is risky because it exposes Trump to attacks on his own blatant nepotism and corruption.

Both of them are risky.

The first would remind people that Trump was impeached for the Ukraine scandal.

The second would pissed of seniors.

Also if Trump tries to go after Biden for mental unfitness, it gives Joe a perfect opening to remind people of stuff like:

Quote
Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.

Or any of his other rambling incoherent speeches, deranged 3 AM tweets, erratic behaviors in the White House, countless impulsive and unhinged remarks and actions, etc.

This. The economy really was his only ace and even if there's a bit of a economic bump (I doubt it) after stay in place ends, the damage will have already been done. He can't go after Biden over his son, as it'll be a reminder of how that all came to public light in the first place and I think attacking Biden as senile could backfire as a) it could piss of seniors, and b) Trump isn't that cognitively fit himself and has less of an age excuse than Biden has.

Both of them could use that against each other, so it cancels out.

This. Call him a Russian troll or whatever. This is how you win in American politics- a combination of rabid anti-communism and racism.

As in, what will be the most effective, regardless of morality? Muh abortion and painting Biden as corrupt and boring.

Most of these would be pretty contradictory and hypocritical, but we all know that it won't stop Trump and his party:

-"Corruption" (muh Ukraine! The thing Trump got impeached over).
-His age (because Trump isn't old and never misspeaks!).
-"Stealing" the nomination for Sanders.
-In similarly concern trolling fashion: some parts of his record like the Crime Bill and Iraq War (he's too moderate, Bernie supporters!).
-Parts of his current platform (he's too far left now, Republican base voters!).
-Claiming that things in the country and the world are better under Trump than under Obama.
-The Tara Reade allegation (because accusations against Democrats are the only ones that are true).

After having a celebrity president and a reality show one, "boring" may actually be an advantage.

The EC map is against Trump pretty much, and the Coronavirus exacerbated income inequality in the blue states. There is really nothing Trump can do about WI, since he lost the Judge seat

If you were trump what’s his best message to hammer Biden?

Funding a young, liberal third-party challenger who will attack Biden as an establish hack and a tool of Big Money.

Trump has already wrecked his own effectiveness when it comes to directly attacking Biden. There's nothing he can do or say that doesn't quickly circle back to his crimes, his impeachment, and the treasonous acquittal by MoscowMitch's Senate.

Considering Trump won on unfair trade deals like nafta, the democrats failing the unions and foreign workers taking our jobs. Well. He'd be wise to hit Biden on those issues again and remind the voters of the rust belt that Biden isn't a socialist and doesn't have their interest at heart. This along with Bidens pro-chinese history would be extremely hard to get from under for Biden.

Paint him as part of the corrupt swamp Trump ran on draining. That shouldn't be too hard either with his entire career and his positions on trade, internationalism, failed foreign policy decisions, and other countless things. He shouldn't go all in on mental fitness (that could easily get blowback and Biden could get a sympathy vote) although he should make some subtle suggestions about it.
