To be fair, had they stayed with the news conference, they'd have lost audience to El Rushbo over on the EIB network.

Last night something happened that sums up everything you need to know about FOX...

You'd think they'd at least go with a relevant right wing talking point and have them ask the meteorologists to grill Obama about some piece of evidence that supposedly calls into question the consensus on climate change.

Also the Asst. SecState for Africa and a number of academics recommended against designating BH as a terrorist org at the time as it would have actually helped them with recruitment by showing they hit the "big time" and also it would have precluded people with negotiating with them. There were also some who argued for it. And there is also the issue of what real difference it would have made. In other words it is one of those things that is much more complicated than "Hillary refused to call them terrorists so she is a failure/soft on terrorism/etc" But hey, complex, nuance and grey areas are not what FOX television news does.

In a reminder that Fox isn't the only media that spews a lot of right-wing nonsense, the New York Times describes living in a 19th-century mansion, with a cook, two housekeepers, and a chauffeur as merely "comfortable," not "extravagant."

I don't see anything inherently extravagant in a person tasked with running a large enterprise having someone to deal with the housekeeping.  It's not as if Pope Francis mops the floor of the Sistine Chapel himself.

I suppose that was intended to reassure the gun nuts in the audience, but logically should it?  It suggests that those who are gung ho about guns are trying to compensate for a lack of masculinity elsewhere in their lives.

Joe, it's awfully hard to inform viewers who aren't watching.
