Probably like 1988, just because Kennedy pissed off the Carter wing, which costs The South and a significant number of swing states.
However Kennedy has a better image and trounces Bush at the debates, so he does better.
I suspect that Bush would probably pick Paul Laxalt to appease to Reagan wing of the GOP
And I'll venture Kennedy goes with Dale Bumpers to appease the South, or try to.
So this? I guess?
