This red Miami-Dade fantasy is weird and quite silly. Hot take: Rubio is more likely to do worse than Trump than to win Miami-Dade.

Cubans love Trump's machismo. Rubio is Cuban, but he is a boring establishment politician. He is not going to win Miami Dade.

He'll make inroads with Venezuelan Americans and Mexican Americans in Miami Dade.

Dade County is maybe 2% Mexican...

He's probably got a better chance at winning it than DeSantis.

Not unless A) 2022 turns out to be a major Republican wave, B) Democratic turnout is abysmal, C) DeSantis faces Fried instead of Crist and wins by a large enough landslide to produce coattails, and D) Demmings completely implodes to the point she doesn’t even crack 40%.  If all those things happen then there’s like a 1/5 that Rubio gets a plurality win in Miami-Dade, but if any of those doesn’t happen then the odds are like 0-3%.
