From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

Dem superdelegate from Pittsburgh backs Obama
Friday, February 22, 2008
The Associated Press
A fourth Pennsylvania superdelegate has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Leon Lynch, a retired vice president of the steelworkers union from Pittsburgh, announced his endorsement in a statement released by the Illinois senator's campaign.

In the statement, Mr. Lynch says Mr. Obama is the only candidate he's met capable of motivating and leading the American people in a new directiion.

Mr. Obama has previously been endorsed by three other Pennsylvania superdelegates.

Thirteen have endorsed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and the other 12 remain neutral.

The other 12 will be paying attention to the next few weeks.

Obama endorsed by Jay Rockefeller (D-WV).

I wonder who the other WV Senator will endorse?  Wink

The Service Employees International Union here also endorsed the Big O.

According to Fox News, Al Gore "has already endorsed Barack Obama."  Did I miss something here?

I don't see that on their newsite even, and if Gore officially endorsed him everyone would have it.

Where is that from exactly?

Amazingly, The Pittsburgh Tribune Review endorses Hillary.

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/opinion/archive/s_563322.html

Considering Scaiffe accused the Clintons of covering up Vince Foster's "murder" it's humorous.

Apparently he got some promises coming his way. No surprise, really.

Can you expand on that, cause I'm surprised?

Oh, I'm just speculating, but that's the obvious explanation. People don't make 180s from hate to love until there's some outside benefit.

True, but damn, Scaiffe has more money than God and often with money comes power, so we'll wait and see what she can offer him I guess.  He is whacky so that could be it....but who knows.
  Thanks.

Joe Andrew, who was Democratic National Committee chairman from 1999-2001, planned a news conference Thursday in his hometown of Indianapolis to urge other Hoosiers to support Obama in Tuesday's primary, perhaps the most important contest left in the White House race. He also has written a lengthy letter explaining his decision that he plans to send to other superdelegates.

It seems to me that Dean and Carter and Pelosi and others at least have already "endorsed" a candidate per se, by virtue of their remarks.

I know I know that's a far cry from the official endorsement, but I doubt anyone in the democratic party doesn't know who the big shots are endorsing.

No way, no way, no way, Obama's elitist message does not resonate with the working families.  Don't tease us like this, Alcon.

8/13 of Edwards' Florida delegates for Obama

None for Clinton

This essentially guarantees Obama a clinch of pledged delegates, including MI & FL, on Tuesday.

I hereby move that Alcon be dubbed King of the Endorsements thread. Wink

Iowa Con. Scott Brennan for Obama

Massachusetts DNC Martha Coakley for Clinton (allegedly)

Well her timing is interesting and it says a lot about her political savy. ; )

DNC Pilar Lujan breaks her pledge to endorse the winner of Guam and endorses Clinton. (Seriously, WTF? Why would you do that?)

She has to owe the Clintons something or they promised her something.  That's all it can be when it comes to the Clintons. This is political suicide for her.
