What do you think the chance of Chauvin and Co being acquitted on the 2nd-degree charges? I'd say they're higher then some people are willing to admit I think for Chauvin the chance is around 30% of him being acquitted on 2nd-degree murder charges, while for the other 3 officers I'd say it's around 50/50 on whether they're acquitted or convicted. With how things stand now I don't really see how you can establish definitively that Chauvin purposefully murdered Floyd.

Of course, I believe he intended to murder Floyd, but I think that the defense could be able to cast reasonable doubt on the part of the intent.

To paraphrase Richard Nixon: When Trump does it, that means it is not a bad thing.

Violent criminal history of George Floyd? Terrorist movement?

Seriously?

I'm one more idiotic statement like this away from agreeing with Adam Griffin:

The logistics of these protests and demonstrations are just so embarrassing. Every protest, every demonstration and every riot needs to be held at or in close proximity to a police station. Right now, all of these randomized demonstration locations mean that whenever cops pop their power-boners or the event breaks down into riots, the damage is always done in areas that don't send a message, leading to plenty of collateral residential and commercial damage.

The cops are invariably going to show up and start beating the s[inks]t out of people regardless of how the event occurs or where, so it only makes sense to push them back to their home turf - and with enough people at various locales, minimizes the chances of police being able to gang up on individual sites. It also ensures that there's no collateral damage of innocent residences and businesses.

This way, when the cops decide to start attacking people and acting like animals, it's only going to be the cops who are getting hurt/killed and only police stations getting torched (i.e. the only parties deserving of such).

(emphasis mine)

In looking at the seventeen deaths currently associated with the protest activity, it appears that the figure groups innocent bystanders/victims of opportunistic crime with people killed in self-defense by either business-owners or people who felt they were under attack.

In Philadelphia, a 24-y/o was apparently attempting to break into an ATM with explosives.  You can probably fill in the rest of the story.

One individual (Sean Monterrosa) was shot by police while on his knees.  As he raised on arms, he revealed a hammer stuffed into his pocket. Police had been called to respond to a report of looting and apparently mistook the hammer for the butt of a shotgun.

This, of course, does not excuse those sick people who have taken advantage of legitimate protest to commit violent crime.  That doesn't help anybody.

he tripped on a police officer's shield that was moving towards him and fell.
He tried to grab the hand of an officer who was carrying a baton. The officer pushed him away.

Federal Plan to Control D.C. Protests Has 7,600 Personnel Tapped
Quote
An internal document compiled for the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Thursday and seen by Bloomberg News provides the most detailed breakdown of federal force numbers and locations as the government seeks to contain protests after the killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, at the hands of Minneapolis Police.

The document, which isn’t classified, shows 2,950 law enforcement personnel from U.S. agencies working alongside 2,935 National Guard troops, bolstered by 1,704 active-duty troops who are currently stationed outside the capital at Andrews Air Force Base, Fort Belvoir and Fort Myer.

If it's a hyperpartisan attack, is he alleging the questioner is a Republican or is he saying he is?

He had just picked up a police helmet off the ground. It's fast, but, if anything, looks like he was trying to give it to the cops.

He probably means the left faction of the Democratic Party.

Who cares what a single county GOP chair has to say? Lyndons reaching pretty far and deep into the well. Hope he doesn’t fall in!

FYI, there are now a total of four County GOP chairs in Texas alone who have posted these theories. Two of them are of course vexar and Harris. That's San Antonio and Houston, IV and I believe seventh-largest cities in the country, both of which Counties have enormous that numbers of Republicans nonetheless.

But nice try though.
