No. They're saying that Republicans have traditionally engaged in kink shaming (far more than for example, adultery) and this may hurt Trump for that reason. Personally, I think they're dreaming - Trump has demonstrated that the American right has no ethical or philosophical base whatsoever (at least not beyond embracing hate and despite). The idea that the cultist right will suddenly remember their morals is laughable.

They will only remember their morals when convenient for them: when they need them to oppose a moderate or leftist, or if they finally turn on Trump. But if they do turn on him their fake morality won't be the cause, it will just be the excuse. The cause will be failing to sufficiently actualize their hate. (And they won't be giving up on the hate and ignorance, just choosing a new cult leader.)
