How does the PR work? They're proportioned by district but you need a 3% nationwide threshold in order to win anywhere? And then there's bonus seats for whoever gets like 42% or something?

So is there any relevance to the district results? Because I click on a district and it has seats assigned to it.

Greens have been creeping up ever so slowly. Not enough to get them to 3% though but I'll be interested to see how close they make it.

Also, what's with the random count down thingee on the MoI page? Do they have a bomb?

Yea I've been wondering that too. It ends at 2 AM Athens time for whatever reason.

I don't see any countdown clock. The only one I see is that next to the map which shows the time here in Greece.

Weird. We have a clock that's counting down (at about 1:53:00 right now).

What time's the count expected to be (mostly) finished? 2:30 Greek Time is it?

They're taking an ouzo break so maybe a little longer.

ND has been slowly dripping off seats to the left parties since the initial 10% or so came in - PASOK has gained at least 2, KKE at least 1 and SYRIZA at least 2. No change for LAOS.

KKE just picked up a seat from SYRIZA.

The struggle continues!

ETA: Now SYRIZA picked up a seat from ND

There's still like about 1.25% left to count but they seem to be on break or something so here's nearly the final results:

PASOK: 43.9%, 160 seats (+5.8%, +58 seats)
ND: 33.5%, 91 seats (-8.3%, - 61 seats)
KKE: 7.5%, 21 seats (-0.7%, -1 seat)
LAOS: 5.6%, 15 seats (+1.8%, +5 seats)
SYRIZA: 4.6%, 13 seats (-0.4%, -1 seat)
Greens: 2.5%, 0 seats (+1.4%, no seat change)

So a good day for PASOK and LAOS and an absolutely horrible day for ND.

I'm in Tolo right now on graduation trip....what were the results like here? I didn't really see much of the election live, just happened to pass by a TV on our way to dinner last night and heard that the government had been thrown out.

For the district (Argolidos) you're in...

ND: 42.5%
PASOK: 42.3%
KKE: 4.5%
LAOS: 4.2%
SYRIZA: 3.1%
Greens: 1.7%

Second lowest percentage for ND in a district they still won.

You do. Obviously.

Or Hashemite? (The KKE map will look funny.)

I would but I still haven't figured out how to make maps on my Mac Sad

No. It would be amusing if it did.

Why are most of the islands so strongly Communist?

News hasn't reached them that the USSR fell.
