The populist lost.

Yes, she did.  To another populist who was a lot better at faking it.  Which candidate wanted higher taxes on the wealthy?  Which one wanted to increase regulations on Wall Street?  Which one wanted to expand the social safety net and pay for it with working people's money?  They both openly opposed TPP.  Trump CHOSE to be populist, Hillary was exhibit A that any Democratic nominee literally HAS to be populist to maintain your poorer (than Republicans') voter base, as evidenced by the exit poll data from every election ever ... even if that nominee is God-awful at it like Hillary Clinton.

Sanders narrowly wins ME-02, MI, WI, and PA, and wins NH/ME by a significantly greater margin than Hillary. However, NV turns into a pure tossup as opposed to lean D, and he doesn't come as close in AZ/GA.
