On the flip side, a potential endorsement from Boxer would be a huge get for the campaign (Not like they'd probably need it). So far, it's already gotten more congressional endorsements (State & federal) than Prop 19 ever did.
Feinstein is fast finding herself isolated from the greater leftward stride of Democrats here. Her protege is the political figurehead of the legalization campaign, both of her potential Senate partners have accepting of the changing opinion regarding marijuana, and the California Democratic Party has endorsed it. In the meantime, shes going back to her well of "stoned drivers" worries that she repeated when Prop 19 came to a vote
