They need someone to come in and destroy public sector unions and lower taxes. Otherwise it won't happen.

Yeah, slap a Jersey accent on Sam Brownback and I'm sure he'd be beloved.

Krispy Kreme was for a few years, before unrelated issues brought him down. The NJ gop also got a majority of the vote in the legislature in 2013 but could not break the gerrymander.

He became beloved because of his Sandy response. His approval ratings pre-Sandy were respectable but far from unbeatable. 2013 likely would've been a competitive race if not for Sandy.

Better than respectable.
