01. Edwardo Rafael Cruz (R-Texas). Way too ideological, self-interested, and massively uninterested in anything but political and ideological advancement. There is also the fact he led the GOP into a government shutdown and is grandstanding to gain votes from the Right in the primary, instead of cooperating with Mitch McConnell.

02. Pat Roberts (R-Kansas). The man is out to lunch, out to dinner, and out to everything else. He barely survived re-election, despite no achievements in his legislative career and barely residing in Kansas.

03. Harry Mason Reid (D-Nevada). Has definitely poisoned the well as Majority Leader and led to the death of the filibuster, as well as turned the Senate into a smaller version of the House. I'm glad he's gone as Majority Leader.

04. Charles Schumer (D-New York). Basically a showboat senator who isn't interested in representing New York as much as he's interested in moving up the ladder in the Democratic Party and being in front of a camera at all times. I don't think Charles Schumer knows what the average New Yorker cares about and hasn't since his election in 1998.

05. James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma). Being a climate denialist is a bad thing for the GOP and the country at large. For him to take over the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works is probably one of my two sole disappointments at a new GOP majority. Inhofe simply isn't the right man to helm that Committee. It's my regret McConnell didn't step in to override the seniority system and get Inhofe out.

06. Dianne Feinstein (D-California). I don't know what it is about that woman, but she just irritates me. She has this naked self-interest and desire to preserve her career at all costs, even though she has a guaranteed safe seat in California. Also, I admit to being a civil libertarian, so her behavior, in general, irritates me. Not that Senator Burr will be any better in charge of the Intelligence Committee.

No other senator really stands out as irritating or incompetent to me. The showboats, the over 80 year crowd, and those there who are literally collecting a paycheck without doing a thing are probably the others, but that's probably 30 senators, or 40 senators.
