"Among the self-reported evangelicals who are likely to vote, John McCain holds a narrow 39% to 37% lead over Sen. Obama."

Okey doke!

All indications are that this is a horrible poll with a likely Obama bias, unfortunately.

He probably also leads among Christians in Idaho by a very small percentage.

Ehh.

Bush won "Protestants" in Idaho 78%-21% in 2004.  Mormons are only 29% of Christians in the state.  I'll generously bump that to 35% for turnout.  I'll give Bush 90% of the Mormon vote.  He'd still have to get 72% of the non-Mormon Protestant vote.

The Catholic sample, even (probably more Dem than the Prot sample in a state like Idaho) was 60-40 Bush in 2004.

So, I'm thinking that's rather unlikely.
