POPOL Duda won re-election yesterday with ca. 51-49%, in the highest-turnout election since 1989.

Polls predicted a close race.

What, if anything, can Trump learn from his campaign ?

Or are these personalities / campaigns too different ?

Become a good enough president that over 50% of the country approves of you

Trump should move to Poland.

Given prior results it shouldn't have been that close and nothing is really comparable to the US election or electorate.

"Can Trump learn anything..."

I'm going to stop you right there.

No, Trump cannot learn anything. End of discussion.

Duda's election victory was not an upset, and the result being this close would have been a real surprise a few months ago

If anything, this was more of a Cruz vs. Beto race than a Trump vs. Biden one.  The incumbent is ahead for most of the election season but gets a bit of a scare in the final stretch.  However, incumbency and not being totally underwater in public approvals helps the incumbent stave off the challenger.

What could Trump learn from Karen Handel’s victory in GA-6?
