To be honest, I'm more concerned about eugenics than cloning.  Clones (genetically identical individuals) already occur in nature - we call them identical twins.

Actually messing with the genome though, that's a much messier can of worms.

The fact that Christopher Reeves didn't give a flip about the handicapped before he was himself doesn't improve my opinion of him much anyway...

Whoa there.  Someone brought up Christopher Reeve, and I remembered a rant written about the subject by Maddox (a very funny man).  I didn't realize merely linking it was a problem.

I don't think people realized it was written by a second rate satirist - a poor mans Howard Stern if you will.   Though I will occationally enjoy a bit of lowbrow humor, I just don't find his rants funny.  But if you like it, more power to you.  Whatever floats your boat.

The sad thing is that there really are people out there on the net who actually are that bitter and hateful.
