The real problem with the Dems is the Third Way DLC inspired bullshyt that Clintonism has been shoving down our throats which has left the Democratic Party with no identity. Years ago, the Dems used to cart out Bill Clinton every chance they could get but they dont do that anymore since virtually all of his policy ideas were disasters: NAFTA, 1994 Crime Bill, 1996 Welfare "Reform." All of these were policies were epic failures which killed working class whites(NAFTA), the black family (1994 crime bill), and single mothers (welfare "reform)- which are core Democratic constituencies.

Bill Clinton was hailed in the 90s as the guy who brought closure to the New Deal wing of the Democratic party and moved the party so far to the right that ideologically, the Democrats today are far less liberal than 70s Republicans.

On top of that, the Democratic Party is a party run by an insulated professional elite who claim to speak for the working class though nobody asked them to and most would bail from the party in a heartbeat if their was an actual alternative. Many of the elite at the top of the party never associate with the working class in real life and think they can educate or block grant their way out of every economic problem the working class face.

Good analysis, One State.
