Also, for people like Joe, I'm sort of introducing the candidates in chronological Atlas order (Breaking at some points), so don't be offended if I don't get to you for what could be a couple of weeks.

That's ok, I assumed that was the case. Smiley

Is Pedro Dawson supposed to be somebody from the forum?

Yes, "PD". Go through his posts and you're sure to find some interesting stuff. Ask Peter about him, he was before me as well.

Bob, thanks.

Oh yeah!  I missed that connection.  Who is Plato Archcow, if anybody?

Surprised no one has covered a heated House race between me a Keystone Phil.

Ooh, that would be a good one!  My suggestion is that Flyers and Phil are both incumbent congressmen who have been redistricted into the same district.  Phil drew national attention to this contest, because of his almost successful primary challenge against the RINO PA senator. Wink + Tongue

Will the international members feature into this?  I guess they could be from their fantasy-registered states.

In other news, the hotly contested Pennsylvania Senate race is finally over, now that Rep. Phil Innamorato (R-PA) conceded the election to Sen. Patrick Guinan, saying, “While their were independent voter regularities, I did not find anything big enough that would have affected the outcome.”

Um, this is rather far from what would happen in real life. Tongue

Nobody would have conceded this battle if there were irregularities involved.    The courts would be dealing with it for years.

All I know about Dunn is that he was an Israeli, and a Progressive with a green avatar.  I don't know if he was actually from Israel, or an immigrant or what.  According to his Wiki, he was the leader of the Fantasy Progressive Party, and was Nym90's Sec of Defense until May 2004.  He disappeared about the time of the first Civil War.

That's really all I know about him.

Acctually, J.J. and New Feddy are far older than even Dave.  I think J.J. is 44 or so and New Feddy is in his late 50's.

Which would mean that by 2032 they'd probably be too old to run for President.  Maybe not with J.J., but New Feddy would be in his late 80's.

Woot!  I like it PB!  By the way, you can use my real last name if you like - I don't mind. Also, I'm from the Dayton area, not Cincy. Wink

PB, you can use my real name if you want - Joe Delaney.  Much more realistic than "Republic". Wink

I think I'd be able to run as a capitalist democrat.

As opposed to a communist democrat?

How is Gabu so liberal?  He's more moderate than most Democrats here.

Why would Preston do well at all in New Hampshire? He's campaigning as the uber-populist, when New Hampshire is an uber-libertarian state. There are plenty of outsiders in the race, Nym might be upset, but Preston shouldn't be anywhere near the one to do it. NH strikes me as Hughento territory.
How exactly am I an uber-populist?

Well I'd certainly remove the 'uber', but you definitely a populist, whereas NH is generally a libertarian state.

That said, Bill Clinton didn't win it in 1992, but went on to win anyway.  So a defeat for you here doesn't rule you out. Wink

Bill Clinton certainly came close, though.  He ran on a populist message.  Now, that doesn't mean rabidly advocating big government, that's not what populism is about.  Populism is about creating a government that works for the People.

But the whole concept of libertarianism is to not have the government have any significant part in the People's lives at all, wherever appropriate.  I can't speak for the entire populace of New Hampshire, but I think generally speaking they'd rather have the government just leave them alone than have it 'working for them'.
