I love Evita. It's so sarcastic, cynical and not supportive of Peron's actions at all but yet some won't give it a chance simply because it is sung

Here's an example of the cynicism I was talking about...

The original Mel Brooks film is great, a true classic. I still haven't seen the musical so I can't comment on that.

I'm currently reading Mary Main's Evita: The Woman With the Whip , which I understand was the basis for Evita . It's a critical biography of Eva Peron, but I'm yet to formulate my own opinion of her
