Suffolk Co has 88% in. Plymouth, Worcester, Essex are in the 60s as far as precincts reporting. Coakley leads by just over a thousand votes. Baker has got this.

Looks like Alaska is joining the sanity island in this race.

Now even Palin can see the sanity island from her house.

I'm rather confused. I thought Walker was the de facto D in this race, but if he was endorsed by Palin, what does that make him? Is it just a weird grudge by Palin or something, or is Walker to the right of Parnell?

I guess you could say it's more that Palin is to the "left" of Parnell on the main issue here, which is taxation of oil profits.

Here are partisan swing and trend maps for Maine 2012 Presidential to 2014 Gubernatorial.  (Cutler obtained between 7 and 10% in every county, so that introduces a minor variation).


The smallest swings toward the GOP in Maine were in the North/East parts of Michaud's district (and also in in Portland), but the greatest swings toward the GOP were also in Michaud's district - in the West.
