He chaired the Trump's Rhode Island campaign (and Trump did better than any Republican in Rhode Island for a generation).

I read up on him a little bit. Looks like he wants to run as an independent Trumpist
Which will only hurt the GOP in one of their few pickup opportunities in 2018.
