PA House Speaker, Mike Turzai will seek the Republican nod to challenge Governor Tom Wolf.

Still likely D. Many Pennsylvanians blame the GOP house for the budget delay the first year of Wolf's administration.

Toss-Up if he's the nominee, but I'll leave it as Lean D as long as it's possible for Wagner to be nominated.

Look at this goofball. What's wrong with his head? Nobody's going to vote for that.

All Wolf needs to do is remind people of how odd his head looks and run commercials with him saying "we're going to guarantee Governor Romney wins the state of Pennsylvania" to also remind voters that he couldn't even execute a straightforward scheme properly.

Wagner will be the nominee and then lose to the Wolf.

Tilt D with Turzai. Safe D with anyone else.

If Republicans could convince Toomey to run (it's not like he would be giving up his Senate seat to run, and he'd appoint his successor), they'd have a much better chance.

That would be a bad idea and would likely backfire tremendously.

This. Toomey won re-election because the Philly Suburbs wanted a check on Clinton (who everyone assumed would win), McGinty did decent in Scranton. This dynamic wouldn't apply in a Gov Race.

Likely D with any (reasonable) Republican candidate. I'm not ruling out a Republican victory, but I think they'll have a very hard time defeating a reasonably popular incumbent in a swing state in an unpopular president's mid-term.

Also, for this race, Republicans could really use a moderate SEPA candidate who could differentiate himself from Trump. Turzai is from the Pittsburgh area and Wagner is from South Central PA.

Jim Cawley, Mike Fitzpatrick, Justin Simmons, and Kate Harper are all good Republicans from the Southeast. Dent and Costello would be better for nominees for the Senate, in my opinion.

Scott Wagner releases ridiculous article accusing Wolf of conspiring with George Soros in California

http://wagnerforgov.com/2017/12/05/breaking-tom-wolf-conspires-soros-california/

He's going full-blown Trump for this election.
