No, this has absolutely nothing to do with the recent Opebo sh*tfest. I had planned to leave for quite some time now, and decided to stay one more day to see what the forum atmosphere would be like in the aftermath. Although, for sure, I've probably chosen the best possible moment to leave. Grin

So, I'll be away for a month, starting tomorrow. Just as I did last time. Right now, I need to focus on other stuff in my life, and I think taking a break helps me out a lot sometimes. So, goodbye to those who will miss me. Smiley To the others, enjoy it while it lasts. Wink

I don't have any moderated posts and my infraction points actually went down. The only conclusion is the mod virus mustve infiltrated the server. The system's algorithm now determines acceptable content and eliminates posts found to be noncompliant. Orwell had it right.

Calling it a "virus" would imply that our new automated moderation software wasn't installed on purpose!

As somebody who dishes out what Antonio is being attacked for (as well as someone who takes it from him as well), I have to love the irony in seeing people criticize him only because of disagreements on the whole Opebo thing. Where the hell was Lief and Ebowed back in the fall, long before Opebo (or even the Update) were controversies when he was being "nasty."

Further proof that the Opeboites have lost touch with reality, as they have become dangerously used to having their opinions heard out on a small internet forum rather than in real life.

I haven't lost respect for Antonio or those who share his views (like Miles, Nathan, etc). I also think others should be understanding that many of us really enjoyed opebo and what he brought to this site, and the disappointment weighs heavy. It's like if BRTD or Phil got axed.
