I'm surprised Marokai is doing so well given the incident Tuesday.

I'd be more surprised if anybody changed their vote because of it.

Marokai is leading 31-16 in a two-candidate race against Duke.

It's virtually impossible for him to lose anymore with the number of votes that have already been cast.

The voting booth instructions say you have to be registered on or before June 11.

That makes JewishConservative's vote invalid.....same is true for Barnes, I just noticed.

Is that based in 7 days or ten days? And why is Gporter invalid?

Not sure what it's based on....I just read the SOFA's instructions Smiley

GPORTER's vote is invalid because the ballot was edited more than 20 minutes after the original post.

What about Gustaf voting twice?  Course he could fix that by deleting one of them...

Yeah I'm not quite sure how to call that one....

Damn!  Sad

Okay, I don't have time to look this up today.  Can someone other than Dan verify DC_united's state of registration?  I gotta get to work.

She is not (and to my knowledge never has been) a Midwesterner.

Look here. Andy Jackson voted, but you cannot see his post in the thread. This voting booth must be cursed.

Very peculiar.

It may not be fair....but the SOFA has clearly stated that the vote is invalid.

Italian boy's vote should be rendered invalid, there is commentary on it.

It's not active campaigning...I don't see how his commentary would make it invalid.

But that's for the SOFA to decide.

You also listed PiT twice in your account of who voted for PiT/HW, although I'm not sure if that changes the count or if you meant someone else.

That was supposed to be Einzige....thanks Wink

Cards on the table here. What votes are likely to be challenged?

Is all of the above an option? Tongue

Barnes vote is out as it seems he registered to vote after only 23 posts, two short (unless any have been deleted)

I'd personally say that the 25 post requirement is necessary to vote....rather than register to vote.

In the same manner, 17 year olds can register to vote before their birthday as long as they'll be of age by Election Day.

Assuming that my numbers are all correct here....the invalidation of electoraljew and Barnes would lead to an exact tie.

So how many disputed votes are there?

ElectoralJew, JewishConservative, Barnes....

is that it?

ok...so I assume....in the event that Barnes and ElectoralJew are declared invalid in the presidential race....that Lief then leads in the first count by one vote. I was always under the impression that DC United's vote would then cause a tie in the 2nd count....thereby leading to a run-off. Does the number of first preferences, in fact, determine who wins in a tie?

Here's where the situation get's sucky.
Let's say, all the controversial votes are counted invalid. Leif would become President, but here's my issue. More Atlasians wanted PiT to be President. That's a fact, if you look at the totals, adding all invalid booths. And both sides had several un-educated Atlasians voting for them, so that card shouldn't be played by either side.

Tough for us.

Well, that's too bad. More people wanted PiT to become President, but because of a few legal issues, some of his votes will be invalid. Atlasia, spoke and they wanted PiT as President.

Do you understand the concept of electoral law?

So I'm the only one of the two major parties who broke ranks? That's kinda sad.

Well be proud of your political independence Smiley

I know you can't legally put NOTA in the middle of a ticket, but what's the precedent with dealing with people who do again? (A vote with first pref. NOTA doesn't travel, obviously.)

I know any pref.s before the NOTA are valid, but what with pref.s below? Could theoretically matter with Gustaf's vote. I know there's a precedent, I just forget what it is.

I believe that any preferences below NOTA are invalid.
