I realize this is not necessarily supposed to be 100% realistic, but the idea that Biden's team would opt for Schweitzer as a complimentary candidate to the ticket is extremely unreasonable and puts the GOP (with Romney/Portman at an advantage). Biden and Schweitzer would be a disaster together because neither of them has really any filter. The most dangerous place in Montana is between Brian Schweitzer and a camera. Given the scenario though I would predict a very narrow election with the Democrats winning 274 electoral votes vs. the Republicans winning 264 electoral votes.
