CBS News instant poll: Romney wins first presidential debate

CBS News and GFK's knowledge panel recruited 523 uncommitted voters to determine the winner of the first presidential debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney. Forty six percent thought Governor Romney won the debate and 22 percent thought Mr. Obama did.

The real win of this poll is the 2nd question.  Do you believe the candidate has care for your needs and problems at heart? Before the debate, 53% said yes for Obama and only 30% said yes for Romney.  After the debate, 69% said yes for Obama and 63% said yes for Romney.

If that's a true shift, maybe we can see the lessening of the partisan divide in this country.  It was a win against FOX/MSNBC strawmanning of the candidates and their beliefs.
