Nay

I didn't expect this to move this fast to a final vote. I think Franzl is right about this not being funded and if we are "not in as bad shape as RL" that we can handle huge tax increases months ago (Which was pointed out by a certain someone in the Internet Tax bill thing) then I don't see the need for deficit funded stimulus, as such this should be funded.

Do we want to override and pass this thing as is or do we want to pass a revised measure that would, presumably, be signed?

I am more than happy to devote administration resources to improve this legislation along the lines that I laid out in the veto announcement, namely long-term reductions in spending and tighter language to avoid loopholes and legal fraud.

I do not wish to attempt an override of the President's veto. This legislation is withdrawn.

Relax. I'm reintroducing it with the intention of creating a sort of compromise. The President has legitimate complaints.

My concerns are pretty easy to address. My problem is not with the principle of the legislation itself, but with the process, which I believe did not sufficiently improve the bill from its original form.
