There's territory like this just north of where I live, in North Salt Lake. There's one neighborhood on the SW part of town that is nothing but identical houses laid out on an incomprehensible street pattern. I went there at night, once, and you have no idea how long i took me to get out.

The rural communities at least have a bit of personality and are easier to leave.
