According to Gallup, Republican and GOP-leaning women are most favorable towards Huckabee and Bush, followed by Trump. They're most sceptical/negative towards Pataki, Kasich (!) and Graham, followed by - surprise surprise - Fiorina! (Now, the article doesn't say anything about actual name recognition.)

According to the numbers, and again surprisingly, Trump's favorable rating did not take a hit among women following his debate performance. If anything, they actually went slightly up.

Here's the favorable ratings among GOP women:

1. Huckabee - 53%
1. Bush - 53%
3. Trump - 50%
4. Rubio - 46%
5. Perry (!) - 45%
6. Cruz - 40%
7. Carson - 39%
7. Walker - 39%
9. Rand Paul - 38%
10. Christie - 36%
10. Santorum - 36%

12. Jindal - 32%
13. Fiorina - 29%
14. Graham - 24%
14. Kasich - 24%
16. Pataki - 18%

And these are the favorable ratings given by GOP men:

1. Trump - 59%
2. Cruz - 56%
2. Rubio - 56%
2. Huckabee - 56%
5. Bush - 55%
6. Perry - 53%
7. Rand Paul - 51%
8. Walker - 50%
9. Carson - 48%
10. Jindal - 42%

11. Christie - 40%
11. Santorum - 40%
13. Kasich - 33%
13. Fiorina - 33%
15. Graham - 27%
16. Pataki - 19%

Higher ranking among women: Bush (+4), Carson (+2), Huckabee (+1), Perry (+1), Walker (+1), Christie (+1), Santorum (+1), Graham (+1)
Higher ranking among men: Cruz (+4), Trump (+2), Rubio (+2), Rand Paul (+2), Jindal (+2), Kasich (+1)

Clearly, Jeb is the champion for women, while Cruz is the number one champion for men. Also, call it stereotypical, Carson is more popular among women, while Trump is far more popular among men.

PS: Most of the interviews were done prior to the first GOP debate, though far from all. Also: GOP women have a more negative opinion of every single one of the GOP candidates, although Pataki and Bush have favorable ratings that are only 1% and 2% worse - compared to 16% worse for Cruz. Also notice that Fiorina's favorable rating is 4% higher among men than women! Clearly she's no Hillary lol. It would be more fair to call her the anti-Hillary in most respects.

The interviews were conducted between July 8 and August 13.

Gallup also writes this: "Overall, the preliminary evidence suggests that a trio of lesser-known candidates came out of the GOP debate in significantly better positions than they went in with -- Fiorina, Kasich and Carson. Paul, Santorum and Perry limped out of the debate in worse shape. And Trump's position, in the minds of Republicans nationwide, didn't move."

Clearly supporting forced birth in the cases of child rape is a winning argument among women. Reince, if you're reading this, you're welcome.

Why is Fiorina doing better with men than women and not the other way around?

Not surprising really. Most Republican women I know tend to emphasize abortion and dislike abrasive candidates.

Why is Fiorina doing better with men than women and not the other way around?

It's probably because the men gave higher approval ratings overall. Fiorina was in the same place on both lists.

Which is why noted pro-choicer Mike Huckabee is the most favoured GOPer Roll Eyes

Yes.  I really don't understand why so many people miss this.  GOP women are more pro-life and socially conservative in general than GOP men.  The core religious right is easily majority female.
