Fortunately for Christine, Westboro Baptist Church is one-upping her by announcing they will picket Elizabeth Edwards' funeral.

Half the times when that so-called church claims they are going to picket someone's funeral, they don't show up.  They like publicity (and lawsuits).  Hopefully, their bus gets lost on the way to the funeral.

Very sad. She was a very good woman. Unfortunately I never got to meet her while living in the same town. RIP.

Whether people agreed with Elizabeth Edwards politically or not, we should all recognize that she dedicated her life to helping those in destitute and without a voice in the political arena. She never deserved to be married to an utter scumbag like John Edwards, nor did she deserve to face the tragedy of losing a son, and being afflicted with cancer. RIP to her, and I hope the lord watches over her spirit and her family in this difficult time. BTW Christine O'Donnell is utterly despicable for using Elizabeth Edwards's name for a political jab like that to the president, and deserves to make an apology to the Edwards family. The Westboro Baptist Church should also be ashamed to call themselves Christians if they indeed go through with the picketing.
