I made it to work on this Friday.  I'm ready to close out Week 2.  I still only have a small headache.  It's nothing like the behemoth I had the past two mornings.  I haven't seen my boss, yet this morning, but I will thank him for letting me take off to get over this headache.  That's the least I can do.  Well, that and do my work as I know how and focus from 0800 to 1700 today.  Tonight is the last family dinner until Thanksgiving Day.  The third and final set of company leaves tomorrow morning.

Sunday.  We're starting to get more work rolling in, so the lead is getting his stuff together and get me started shortly.  I should have enough work to last me til 1700 today.

Have you seen your boss yet?  You do understand that companies don't like to lose people for 2 days over a headache, right?  That people might be professional and nice to you despite being annoyed?

Bushie, are you feeling good enough yet to explain how your new employer's workload being slow is not a bad thing for you as a new temp employee?

I'll bet he's feeling good enough to ignore the question entirely.

King, we're a little busier today than we have been, but they hired people early to get them trained before the real rush comes starting in December and especially January.  The work is starting to roll in and we should have enough to keep us going until at least March, if not April.

Bushie, you should go check out Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas this weekend. It's showing at OKC's Cinemark Tinsletown. Please give me a thorough review of your thoughts on the film.

So, Mr. Boss Man was just fine with the two days off of work due to headaches?  I find that hard to believe.

I'm babysitting a 5 year old nephew tonight. I made him an orange chicken stir fry with broccoli, carrots, and snow peas. He ate and enjoyed it. He now has a more adult palate than Bushie.

I thanked him today for allowing me the two days off and he said the same thing he did Wednesday and Thursday, which was "No worries".  We are starting to get more work rolling in.  Today was the busiest day since I've been there which made the time go very fast.  They really needed me today, and I know my boss was pleased that I could make it in today.  We'll probably stay at this level of moderate intensity and will slowly increase the intensity once we get into December.  For now, it looks like the job is stable.

With the last set of company leaving tomorrow morning, I am going to move over to Grandma's tomorrow evening.  We have no more family dinners until Thanksgiving Day so I should be able to sleep over there uninterrupted except for a few nights here and there.  She is going to stop me from having fast food every night and I will stop her from having a bowl of cereal every night.  We'll have more balanced meals like the one we had tonight, except on a smaller scale.

I guess it's a start. Though the pumpkin pie and ice cream more than canceled out your decision not to sweeten the tea.

Well, the corn and green beans were good. Corn is a grain and a veggie. Whole corn is quite good for you. The ice cream canceled it, though, probably. Hopefully only one piece of pumpkin pie was consumed.
