Bob Ehrlich hasn't been mentioned as a potential presidential candidate for several months now, and while Jim Gilmore did promote himself not that long ago, he doesn't seem to have taken any active steps towards putting together a campaign.

As they know they would be little more than fringe candidates to start, they also know that fringe candidates need to get into a race before the main candidates enter and suck up all the money and campaigners.

Gilmore has said he intends to participate in the August NH union leader forum, and he does have to be a declared candidate to do so.

Ehrlich appears to have lost all interest though.
