It's possible. But certainly not in the same manner Trump did.

What we had now was a typically impulsive Trump gut reaction. For years, Trump had argued that Assad should be left alone. Then he saw pictures of those poor Syrian children on CNN and decided to bomb him on the spur of the moment.

Trump doesn't give a f**k. He needed a make some posturing to appease the neocons and show he's not too close to Putin.
