Edit: The Mosque has been in the past associated with radical Islamists, which pretty much makes certain what we all know already. This is an act of terror regardless. Vigilantism is terrorism in and of itself.

My sister lives a few blocks away, and the "One Handed Preacher" who was an Al Qaeda militant associated with OBL, had long been purged from the Mosque a decade ago from both within and without....

This was a story recounted to me ten years ago, when I was there three blocks away (!!!) that was well known in the community, so please do not attempt to excuse Terrorist assaults against Muslims in the UK at the hands of Racist English Terrorist "Lone Wolf's".

I'm sick and tired of people like Sanchez saying we need to do more, I'm fully aware of that, and I do my part I talk to people, I've reported suspicious people before, I spoke out against my former Imam when he began to go down the rabbit hole. I am tired of the lies and deception being spread about us. We do our part, whether it works or not that is another story, we need help, but not with people like Sanchez. American Muslims are more integrated because we feel more welcomed and therefore are more than likely to report suspicious behavior, British Muslims don't feel welcome and therefore are more likely to get radicalized than not.

But the British government and society should do more to make the BM community feel more secured and welcome and then start a dialogue and get their trust, then things will get better. So stop making this about me.

How do British Muslims "not feel welcomed" when 88% of them in the poll I just gave you said they are satisfied with life in Britain? That isn't the problem. Do Muslims in Syria joining ISIS "not feel welcomed?"

This terrorist attack in London tonight is no minor traffic accident gone wrong. It's a serious and evil attack on innocent people. But let's not pretend that this is some sort of deeply rooted problem. It's a primal, animalistic reaction. If I supported the death penalty, I'd like to see this man hang as much as anyone.

Sanchez, you really should just finally admit you hate Muslims and want us banned from the West, you clearly believe that even though you say the contrary.

I don't hate Muslims. I have four Kuwaiti Muslim friends in my building who love this country and hope for a reformation in Islam to root out this extremist ideology. Do you think I want my buddies banned from this country?

I certainly wish more Muslims would quit being so passive/defensive and actively root against this as a means to establish the badly needed internal dialogue.

I support banning travel period from Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, and Libya, certainly. I'd love to see more, say, Indian or Indonesian Muslims settle in the United States.

Has the terrorist been identified?

While this is likely a "revenge strike" by a racist, ISIS constantly targets fellow Muslims around the world and this could easily be that as well.

The individual's name has not yet been identified by Law Enforcement, but based upon the live Sky News report (Hardly a Leftist News organization by any standards), the attacker went off on an Anti-Muslim diatribe, and angry individuals watching this assault tackled the driver, and the local Imam of the Mosque intervened to ensure that no physical harm occurred to the assailant.

Meanwhile, the reports that there were two additional assailants that fled, but details are still sketchy.

We have yet to know if this was a "Lone Wolf" terrorist incident targeting Muslims in the UK, or possibly connected to various Neo-Fascist organizations tied to active Hate Groups that have been operating for decades in the UK...

(Edit): Sweet Meteor O' Death---- The whole assumption and fear thing regarding ISIS is a bit OTT IMHO....

This happened literally right next door to a Tube Stop, where my Sister was only Ten minutes late from potentially getting on a Train when the London Subway bombings happened years back....

One of her best mates lost her Dad, and his body has not been recovered....

Still, the English are stoic regardless, after having dealt with so much, and particularly within London proper.

Although this is likely not the proper place to mention the "Pink Elephant" in the room, the George W. Bush elective decision to invade and occupy Iraq, effectively destablized the entire region, and indirectly caused the rise of ISIS and the Syrian Civil War....

Sigh....

Lost a friend in the Iraq War, so maybe I am slightly biased on this topic, but in general there were no major Terrorist assaults from "ISIS" in Europe until well after the Iraq War.

Now, we have a dramatic increase in low level violence against Muslims in the US & UK, as well as an increased level of violent attacks throughout Europe at the hands of small cells as part of a classic Leninist strategy to "revolutionize" a minority community following a backlash from the "perceived oppressors"



The strength of Western Democracies is based upon the tolerance and diversities of our societies....

We stand strong against political violence and religious intolerance from whatever direction it comes from.

What Political Leaders do (Or should do) is condemn any violent assault on Democratic values, regardless of where these assaults come from.

This should equally include Nationalists, White Supremacists, and Fascist individuals and political organizations as well.

There is an old saying that I first heard living in Germany as a Young Man: "German Justice is blind in the Right Eye".....
