Fascist is the same as communist in practice. Both oppressed and controlled their people and failed miserably at creating a long term efficient government.

The kind of opposition every government dreams of.  Once Mexico was called the perfect dictatorship, and I think Russia vies for that title.  Putin/Medvedev have a better deal than no opposition: joke opposition that's worse than anything they could possibly do.  Vote for them or vote for the zombies at the Communist Party of the Russian Federation or vote for the fascist loonies at the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia.

You're right about that. However, fascism (at least in Nazi Germany) had an element of racism to it as well.
