Going to some of the places that call it "coke" might be a bit confusing...

"Gimme a Coke."
"What kind?"
"What?  I want a Coke."
"Yeah, what kind of coke?"
"Uh..."
(etc.)
Nah it usually goes:
"What would you like to drink?"
"A Coke"
"What kind?"
"Sprite"
You get used to it i guess.
