If Jeb's the one who surges in New Hampshire, Trump will have already won the nomination.

Can you imagine Jeb being the establishment candidate who finishes second in NH?

From a pure establishment standpoint, that's probably the best scenario. Assuming Rubio's realistic best case scenarion is weak 3rd place finishes in IA and (maybe) NH, what other mainstream candidate has the organization and resources to come out of NH with a better chance of running a marathon with Trump?

Looks like Kasich is well in position to place 2nd and become the Anti-Trump!

But what happened to Christie?

I think my Kasich principle was the same as the Christie principle - as long as Christie isn't getting news coverage, he's ahead.

Well that, and other establishment Republicans are carpet bombing him with negative ads.

I was chatting with a NH political insider earlier this week. He said to watch out for Bush. Kasich, Christie and Rubio were busy attacking each other with negative ads and were generally leaving Jeb alone.

I swear if this ends up a Clinton v.s. Bush race after all that...

I'll watch out for Bush alright -- watch as he wastes millions and millions of dollars going nowhere fast.

This Suffolk poll seems to have more of a horserace quality to it than the others. Trump is generally in the low-30s in New Hampshire.

Did you know Kasich's father is a mailman?

My father's New Hampshire neighborhood recently became infested with Jeb Bush signs. Everywhere. Very close to literally everywhere. There are also a few signs for Carson, Kasich, and Sanders here and there.

Just curious, Muon, is this insider a Bush supporter? even only privately ?

It doesn't sound like it to me. He sounds a bit rueful. I don't think many "insiders" think Jeb is electable.

The info came from someone working for Christie in NH.

That son of a mailman will have done a hundred town halls. He deserves it.
