Pretty sure I just had a heart attack.

Not trying to be rude, but are you sure it wasn't acid or anxiety causing that?

Thank God I finally finished grading the pile of final exams I had to. Now I can enjoy my 4-day-long Spring Break.

Chances are it probably was. Anyway, I had another "heart attack" this morning, although I'm not gonna see the nurse about it this time because the last, everything was fine (as mentioned).

My left ear has become numb. I only hear about 50% of the right ear.

Probably check the doctor tomorrow if it doesn't go away. I think I had this once but it went away overnight. I guess there's an enormous amount of earwax in it that's clogging it, which I cannot get rid of because it's too deep in the ear.
Don't use Q-tips. Try running hot water down your ears in the shower.

I didn't.

I went to the doc today and he removed all the ear-wax from inside, by pumping high-speed warm water into my ears. You guys don't even know what amount of ear-wax can be inside the ears ... Tongue

Now my ears are fine again.
I'm having that exact same problem as of late. I've been there before too, and it's gross.

Relatively hilarious and exciting week; my internship in the House of Commons was good fun, mainly because it was just spend with other staff members bitching about the current state of the party, and gossiping about various figures in the party. Also gives me a good piece of experience when applying for jobs later on.

Also found out that one of my best mates from school broke up with his girlfriend because 'he's not exclusively straight' so I'll enjoy spending the next week trying to catch up on that

Do you have yearly appointments with a doctor?  I think you should ask them about it next time just to make sure there's nothing that needs closer monitoring.

It's probably a panic attack if it's not CV related.

I can't really hear anything in that ear. I had a ton of ear wax removed Monday, relieving some pressure. At some time, it ruptured. I was taking ear drops that may have been irritants because it hadn't ruptured when I went to the walk-in clinic. Now I have been given proper ear drops and an antibiotic to fight an infection. My right jaw hurts when I open it, I hear weird noises in my right ear, my left ear's hearing is enhanced, and the inflamed skin in my right middle ear is sensitive to heat.

I think, although I don't know when my next will be. I've had chest pains before (and I was supposed to see a specialist about it, but that never materialized), but none so sudden and sharp.
It's probably a panic attack if it's not CV related.
That might be true, but the first time, my midterms had just been completed (and I did quite well), and the second, I had just woken up, so I'm not sure what could cause a panic attack.

So I was eating, when I sneezed and felt something dislodge in my throat. I cough up a disgusting ball of sh**t and now my throat feels better than it has been in days. At least now I know that feeling In my throat was(mainly) not anxiety. I am probably still underestimating the amount of distress my tonsils have caused me over the years.

My tonsils cause me no worries.  They were removed along with the adenoids when I was eight,

-Last undergraduate formal tomorrow.
-[insert reflections on a couple my age living together]

-Addendum: I concluded today that I'm in the wide swath of people that lack the social energy to wait tables or otherwise "perform" for a living, whilst at the same time I lack the requisite training/skill to have a job where I'd never have to speak to customers.

I desperately wish I could remove my adenoids, but I have a bifid uvula, so I can't.  If I did, my voice would become incredibly nasally.

I did remove my tonsils, though.

Went to the supermarket to get somethings, but since they have been burning off bushland, there is a lot of smoke in the air. I now smell heavily of wood smoke...

Still adjusting to the 12.5 Hr Weekend Day shift with my wife working the opposite Weekend Grave shift, for the same employer at a local Plant that pays well above prevailing wages for the local area...

Shift diff is great, but working on the line standing on your feet is a bit of an adjustment, since it's been over ten years since  the last time I worked a job where I've been on my feet all day.

Regardless...  there is a 5% pay raise that kicks in in six months, and another 5% that kicks in six months later.... etc for the next three years....

I'm actually excited to work for an employer that even in an non-union Plant, still provides regular pay raises well beyond the rate of inflation in order to retain employees in a competitive local marketplace, and additionally values their employees and promotes from within...

Mandatory OT kicks in next week, and as a newbie on the line I have no option to request an exemption (Seniority based system), and also nor would I at this point.

Also, I was paying $300 every two weeks for medical insurance under my previous employer for employee + Spouse package, and what I have heard is that the employee cost of medical insurance is less than 50% of what I was paying before....

It's actually extremely interesting to see that despite the Reagan Administration full-scale assault on the Unions and destruction of the norm called "Pattern Bargaining" (Google it for some of the younger members of the forum or those not familiar with the phrase), that there are still some employers that would rather pay above the prevailing local market value for employees,in order to keep and retain talent.

Right now, I'm working the line and processing product flowing down the belt, and like typical Oregon style we have a ton a people of all ages and some wearing tie-dyes and others hunting caps and shirts....

Oregonian colors tend to bleed Bernie on the line....  The only reason why Trump gets some sort of recognition was something about "bringing jobs back to America" . Make of that what you will, but I hang out in the smoking area on break/lunch time  where in theory there should be a higher percentage of Trump voters (Blue collar smoker vs non-smoker informal poll)      Smiley

Making a project out of mangling The Leap Back, and I am getting as much crap past the radar as possible. Considered adding an IASIP reference, but it might be too much.
