I typically can't tolerate Sarah Silverman, but her speech was pretty great. Too bad it was marred by the intolerable chants of the, as she rightfully called them, "ridiculous" Bernie or Bust fanatics. What is wrong with these people? Bernie has conceded the election to the rightful winner and has endorsed her. Get behind Hillary, respectfully stay silent, or leave the convention and the party.

Not a Booker fan, but this is probably the best speech of the night so far.

I am ashamed of the 43% of the democratic party that literally voted for a movement that is the beginning of America becoming China or Russia.

Bernie's proposed policies = China = Russia?

China and Russia are vastly different, and both are different than what he proposed.

Both are communist nations, Socialism is merely a step on the way to communism.

SOCIALISM IS NOT THE ANSWER BERNIE! SOCIALISM IS NOT THE ANSWER

Okay, I guess you're against the fire department, the police, national parks, public libraries, etc.

That isn't typically considered to fall under the umbrella of Socialism. Free education and health care does.

You are making wild and completely inaccurate statements regarding what Socialism supposedly is. They demonstrate nothing, save a total inability on your part to do any actual, independent research into the subject. You permit know-nothing sources to provide information to you and have absolutely no demonstrable evidence to which you could point as proof for your claims. Have you ever read the works of any noted Marxist or Socialist theorists? Ever picked up a book by Marx, Engels, Lukacs, Adorno, Marcuse, Debord, Luxembourg, or Zizek? I am quite comfortable assuming the answer is no and that your response will be something like, "I don't need to because Socialism was tried in Russia, China, Venezuela, Cuba, etc... and led to mass murder and economic decay." All typical, largely baseless responses that merely address the actions of those who acted in the name of Marx. Any person pursuing power can do anything in the name of anyone - does that make it so?

Anyway, sorry, my fellow posters, for the off-topic reply. I loved Bernie's speech though and am so proud that he has fully endorsed Sec. Clinton. Hopefully, if those Bernie or Bust fanatics will stop their antics, the party can unify and defeat a true menace to our civility, international reputation, and human rights.
